Les Paul Double Cut

This is a double cut Les Paul. Since the original was a 24 fret I have designed this template set to use a special Warmoth neck with an extra long overhang. You could put a standard Fender compatible neck on it but there would be a pretty large gap between the end of the fretboard and the neck pickup.

This one has two plates, a top and back. You use the back template to get the overall shape of the body and the back control cavities, then move it to the top to roust the wiring channels. Once you glue on the drop-top you use the top template to do the neck pocket, pickup cavities, and locate the control and bridge holes. A good way to do ths is by using a 1/4" Forstner bit in the hole, push down, and the spike will mark the location..
