Bob Vincent

Here's a Melody Maker, modified to the way Bob likes them. Here's what he says about it:

I purchased the Melody Maker Plans from you back in March.  I just completed my project.  Your packing slips says to send photos when I was finished, so here you go.

I built what I call a hybrid.  It has the melody Maker body and configuration (1.5 degree neck back angle), but with a Stratocaster 25.5 scale neck.  I prefer the long fender style scale, but the Gibson body look and feel.  I use P 90 pickups for that “early” sound, and only one volume and tone with a selector switch.  I never use the tone or volume controls on each pickup, and frankly I just didn’t want to wire up all of them if I didn’t use them.

I truly enjoyed the project, and as soon as I am allowed another guitar, I will order another set of different plans.  Surprisingly enough (at least for me and my portion) the guitar feels, plays, and sounds fabulous.

Thanks for your efforts in making these plans, and keep up the good work. "
